Genuine VW MK7 Golf Bonnet Release Cable (Lid Lock Cable) - 5G2823531D

This is a genuine replacement bonnet release cable, the lower / front section that goes from the bonnet lock in the slam panel to just behind the headlight / front section of the wing. The 3rd image in this listing shows an example of a broken part, when the plastic housing cracks the x2 parts of the bonnet cable are no longer held together, so you cannot then open the bonnet without a fight with the striker plate.

We supply the part with a single cable tie for installation. If you order the part elsewhere it will not come with a cable tie!

The 4th picture shows the replacement part fitted, with the cable tie used correctly.

Fits all RHD MK7 Golf Models, pre and post facelift (MK7 & MK7.5)

Also fits Passat B8, but nothing else!!
